I have used one for years and was shopping for another, and saw this 'Beware' review. Do not open a virus infected link just so they get 'hits'. Christine, if you want free advertising, do not slam a great product. Anyone who has one knows to use a cover and not overheat it....which you could easily say in your review. Instead, you give it a low rating and implore others to view your site.
I used my first snugglesafe to warm an elderly pet, and then to sooth a puppy that I do not trust around anything electrical as she is a 'digger'. Anyone getting a puppy should get a Snugglesafe to make the transition from bio mom to human mom easier. LOVE it.
This is a wonderful product, especially for pups whose moms are in the process of whelping their siblings (they can be moved off to the side and placed on the heater so they don't get cold or stepped on while the mom is continuing giving birth) and for newborn pups to keep them warm overnight or if they're in a not-so-warm room. No cords, so no worries about anything getting chewed or anybody getting electrocuted. I have had one for a couple of years now and recently purchased a second. Very useful!
The poster below who gave it 1 star seems to have seriously misused it (8 minutes in the micro, then noticed the plastic went soft and melty but still placed it with her pet). I just could not see it being dangerous if heated according to directions and checked each time to make sure it's still in good working order.
The snuggle safe is awesome! I use it for myself, slip it at the foot of my bed at night and it is still warm in the morning. Might get one for the dogs.....
