this is really great stuff! Yup, it's a bit oily, but not overtly so. It even repels deer and horse flies! I even use it on myself. I love the minty aroma, it doesn't smell like I'm wearing a bug repellent. As for my dogs, I usually spray it on my hands and rub it on their heads/ears as an aide for flies and mosquitoes when we're out for a walk.Works great!
I needed a product to use on my dog which wouldn't cause an allergic reaction. The product may be effective as indicated but it made my pet so oily I couldn't stand to pet her. Most all the ingredients had an oil base.
