"Effective & SAFE!"
This product is extremely effective and SAFE. Regarding two prior reviews, for anyone considering using the combination of Praziquantel & Ivermectin, be aware that using them in this manner may have fatal consequences for your dog. The reason for this is that you will likely be over dosing with the Ivermectin. While working for my vet we saw more than a few instances of over dosing. A much more cost effective way of ridding your dog of tapeworms is to simply use the Fish Tapes (TL-F5). 34 mg of Praziquantel just like the Tape Worm Tabs at a much lower price!
"Tape Worm Tabs"
Thank God we can still buy a Tapeworm Medicine without a Prescription. I just can't believe how regulated things have become in the US. We can't do anything unless a Vet says so. Its so nuts. So many people go without giving there animals anything for worms anymore, because they just can't afford too. Thanks Jeffers for keeping these in Stock.
"Jeffers has the best price"
Yes the product is expensive, I have compared this to the equivalent cat product which was 3 for 24.99 at todays most popular pet store and 3 for 15.99 at the newest corporate farm store...Jeffers, as always, is the best place to purchase.
"Expensive but . . ."
Yes, this is expensive but . . . Still cheaper than at the vet!
"ditto to the first review"
I have to say ditto to Pissed in Preston. I have a mini shelter here, 8 dogs, all rescues and tape worms is an expensive proposition to treat for them. Please can't someone develop a reasonably priced tape wormer for dogs.
Considering that you can worm a 1320 pound horse with Equimax, which not only has Praziquantel but also Ivermectin, for $9.95, this is outrageous!!! If I was to use this product to worm a 1320 horse, it would cost me $372.90 - 37 times as much as the Praziquantel and Ivermectin combined in Equimax!!! This is a real rip-off! Using Equimax as a comparison, you should be able to worm a 60 pound dog with praziquantel for less than $.50 - NOT $17. Won't some company please make a Praziquantel prouct for dogs & cats that is reasonably priced?
