"Nice but Hook fell off"
Nice little pail overall, easy to clean & sterilize. I got the 2 quart for milking my goat. Had planned on making a place on my milking stand to hang pail on so I wouldn't have to hold it while milking so I could use both hands to milk and get it done faster, but it arrived without the hook, it had popped off before shipping, was not in the box. Other than that, I love the pail.
"Use them for sugaring!"
"We use the 1 quart ones I bought for doing rinsing and stuff in our Maple syrup operation...we also have horses, which is what I bought them for originally...but my husband ""borrowed"" them and never gave them back!!! They are very sturdy and now I am buying more and hiding them from him!"
Great product. Just purchased 12. Need more 1 quart. Sorry they are backordered and I can not order more.
Great producat by many means and quality is outstanding. However, the hooks do not fit on every cage (the hooks are not spaced properly to fit between the wires), so I had to purchase a double-sided clip to hang it by. I would recommend this for barns, etc. but I would recommend the pail without hooks for kennels and just purchase a double sided clip to hang it by for $1.
These are quality pails. We own a boarding and training facility and these pails are excellent for our facility. The hooks keep these pails up off of our kennel flooring which allows for easy daily cleaning of kennels and as an added bonus keeps our four legged friends from playing in their pails. We would high recommend these to anyone needing to provide water to animals in kennels. Thank you Jeffers for your continued high quality products.
"Use it for milking"
A friend of mine got me the large one of these to use when I got my first milk goat. I didn't use it with her because it seemed so cumbersome and I didn't have a stanchion at the time and just milked into a big glass bowl. My first goatie was a dream girl and never fussed or kicked. The pail got used to hold dog food in the kitchen cupboard. Well, a couple years later, I suddenly find myself with a second doe, in milk, and too fussy to just milk on the squat. Kept trying to step into the bowl. My loving hubby built me a most wonderful stanchion, but the doe still kept trying to step into the bowl... and I remembered this pail my friend had given me. I cleaned it up, and it works like a dream! Even on her most terrible fussy days, the sides of the pail are just tall enough that Miss Lilly can't get a foot in when she tries to stomp it! I actually even lean on it for support while milking (I don't have a milk stool yet) and I appreciate the ease of cleaning and disinfecting! The spot welds that hold the handle bracket to the pail have started to rust a bit after so much twice daily washing, but that's no big deal to me. Love this Pail!
These pails are wonderful. I use them at home in hard-shelled crates (on the doors) or when I go to agility and obedience trials, I hang them off the ex-pens. They are nice and deep, flat sided, and stainless steel, so easy to keep clean and unbroken.
