"Work great when they stay up. "
I bought these for my black TWH gelding 15.5 hands, they are big. I can't get them to stay up. Every time I come back to the barn they are bunched up down at his hoof. I like that they breathe, almost a poly screen fabric with fleece on the ends for comfort. They are easy to clean and have a nice sale price. They work great when they are up. Might try bunching up some dryer sheets in there to get them to stay up.
"One torn off overnight. Straps ripped."
I liked the lower cost option of these. Read many reviews and bought two packs to try out. Friends use them and like them. I put them on the front legs only. One wrap was torn off overnight of the first day.
"These don't hold up"
I got the front pair to stay up fine, but the back set would not stay up on my horse at all. Now that they've been on a few weeks, the fronts don't stay up, either. I tried washing them off and putting them back on when dry, but that only works for a day or so. They are dragging along the ground and getting torn. I have had better luck with more expensive boots, so I won't buy these again.
Love them! My mare loves them even more! All white socks and pink skin, the fly's love her. These settle nice and have soft top and bottom trim. She is a small QH and these fit perfect. A horse with longer legs they may not, I would recommend they make longer sizes but, a great idea and work great for me.
So disappointed! These are way too big for my 15hh 3/4 Arab and my two 14.3hh quarter horse mares. Am going to have to take apart and move the Velcro! Not what I wanted to do after spending that much money! Save money and make you're own. Wish I had.
"Great leg wraps."
I love these leg wraps, especially for the price. I work on a large horse farm and we have a 29 year old black and white grade mare who the flies were just eating up. I bought her these leg wraps. She wears them 24 hrs a day. I have been very pleased how well they stay up, not falling down all the time. I check on her twice a day to make any adjustments that are needed. I actually had such good luck I bought her a second set so I have a set to put on her if I need to wash the ones she is wearing. They actually stay up better once they are a little broken in. Our mare was getting bloody spots from the fly bites and these have helped a lot. (I also bought her other fly clothes so she is covered head to tail.) If you are looking for leg protection from the flies and don't want to spend a fortune I would recommend these.
"Best fly wraps ever!"
These fly wraps are the best I've tried and I've tried at least 5 brands. They stay on and they stay up on the legs with no slipping. They are nice and thin and my horse does not bother them at all. She seems to enjoy the benefits of no stomping.
