"Dont Buy"
This electric fence box is not very good .we have 3 ground rods like it recommends and it still want keep cows in .It doesnt take much to ground it out. All it will put out is 4500 volts on 1/4 mile of fence it sucks in my opinion.

"Reliable"
I own about a dozen of these, which I have been using for roughly 15 years to charge my electric bear fences, which keep bears out of my honey bee apiaries. The fencers are such a simple, sturdy design that there's very little that can go wrong. If I have a problem, I send the unit to McCrory. Their service and customer support is excellent. I wouldn't use any other fencer to protect my bees.

"Okay"
We are on our second of these chargers in 4 years and have had to purchase a replacement battery for each. So I'm $419.99 into these solar chargers and batteries. Not a great shelf life. Have also suboptimal performance when it is particularly dry or overcast for an extended period of time. A small tree branch lying against the fence is enough to ground it out. So, kinda of pricey in my book for the performance.

"The best solar charger!!"
We bought this charger 10 years ago and just replaced the battery last month. It shocks strongly despite weeds growing up around our 1 1/2 polytape- three strand fence. It has survived numerous tropical storms & a Cat 3 hurricane, not to mention the tropical heat & humidity of south FL summers. You will not be disapointed with this charger!!

"Solar Fence Charger A+"
I use this fence charger to power my electrobraid fence. I have 2 electrified strands (out of 3). It has been installed about 8 months, and has worked perfect! Only doesnt charge when covered in snow but I cant blame it since we've gotten 120 inches with 2 months left to go. No problems even with sub zero temps. Very happy with the charger.
