"no picky eaters"
well I bought nu-foot vet concentrate on farrier recomendation. Tried for a month to get my horse to eat it and he will not. I did it all even made it into horse cookies the smell he does not like. wish I had started him out slow with smaller amount instead of the 2 scoop they say.have no idea if it works. wish it smelled better.
I have been using this product for 7 months on my mammoth donkey, who was a rescue with considerable hoof problems. Prior to its use, my donkey had at least one hoof abscess nearly every month for over a year and required farrier care nearly every 2-3 weeks as well as daily care. My farrier recommended Nu-Foot as a daily supplement. 3 weeks after I started using it, we had one hoof that looked like it had an abscess starting. It never developed. We have not had one abscess since. My donkey had white line disease that has cleaned up too. My donkey's coat looks great, his temperament has improved greatly, and I contribute it to Nu-hoof.
"The Right Stuff"
My 12 year old quarter horse had chronic thrush for years. I tried everything on the market. Finally found Nu-Foot Pellets and for the first time he actually has frogs in his front feet!!! His hooves look wonderful. I highly recommend this product.
"One Thing Wrong"
"My Quarab mare is far from a picky eater. So, when I ordered this product off a recommendation from a friend, I ordered the ""vet"" formula. She hated it. She'd sift her grain til it was at the bottom and pick the grain out. Then I tried water, she quit eating about half her grain. I tried oil and she would eat almost everything. I dealt with one tub of it and switched. Her coat was pretty nice to start so I really saw no difference but it stayed healthy. The farrier saw a ring of healthier hoof when the timeline ""ring"" came around. I'm sure it's a good product but I couldn't keep outsmarting my mare. I recommend pellet form for more finicky eaters at least."
"A must have!"
I have used this product on different horses for years. It has always served me well with excellent results. Not only does it improve hoof integrity but my horses skin and coat don?ÇÖt get infections. It?ÇÖs a product I recommend to folks all the time.
I started using this product on a Clydesdale I aquired that had a hx of recurring Hoof Canker. After having his 1st bout, I started this product(vet formula), canker cleared up within 3 weeks of starting it, w/o other treatments and haven't had any more signs of it since. Even through the wet winter!
"Good for coat, too!"
This is an amazing hoof supplement. My mare's feet improved visably within a couple of months on Nu Foot. As an added bonus, it helped clear up a bad case of rain rot. Since she's a picky eater, I bought the pellets for her.
I have a horse that had white line disease in all 4 hooves. He was leased out and had worn show shoes and pads for years. I brought him home to turn him out for rest and rehab, not knowing how bad his condition turned out to be. I feared I might lose him! I began treating with soaking, disinfectant, blowing dry, twice a day with little to slow improvement. Someone suggested Nu-Foot, and within a month I began to see results. Now, after 4 months, he is sound! Still shoeless, but awesome new hooves!!!!
