    "Lister Legend Overheats"

Saved for a long time to afford what I thought to be the best set of clippers, but am very disappointed as my Lister Legend blades get hot very quickly.Had to return them to the manufacturer who kept them for months, then with no explanation as to what might have been at fault, issued me with a brand new pair. Now using them & guess what? These are overheating too!Not very happy as have always had Lister clippers before, with no problems.Think maybe this version have an inherent colling problem.Would not recommend

    "Overheats blade quickly"

We got these clippers for my daughter for Christmas, figuring they would do the job for clipping her goats and her pigs. We had a small pair of Oster clippers that died after a couple years of pig clipping, so we wanted something that would last. We have not yet clipped her pigs, but in clipping the dairy goats last weekend, we found that while the clippers worked well and were fast, they overheated very quickly. The first goat starting jumping around, and we found that the blades were hot to the touch, burning. Oiled them and tried again, after letting them cool down for awhile. They only go a few minutes without severely overheating the blade. I did a lot of searching and reading reviews before buying these clippers, and I'm disappointed.
