I love it on my dogs we live in the country with lots of trees, and bushes, I don't have to worry, about anything.
Didn't do what it said. Didn't kill the fleas or control them at all stages. My poor dog has rubbed the hair off her back where it was applied....switching to something else.
Best product on the market.
"Worth Every Penny..."
K9 Advantix II is worth every single penny, and then some. Since moving to Missouri, I've always used Frontline Plus. It's an OK product but it does NOT repel anything and I was constantly finding ticks all over Chico (my Shih Tzu) and they were attaching themselves to him. Every single time he would go outside I found ticks that were very much alive. Too creepy for me! So this year I was determined to try something new, that's how I found out about K9 Advantix II. It works like a charm!!Since September of 2012 I have not had one single tick on my dog, not one. This product also repels and kills: mosquito, fleas and other insects. It's a little more expensive but it's worth it. We live in a very wooded area that is prime for ticks so having a product like this is a awesome. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to replace FrontLine Plus. I don't usually get so excited about products but I felt I had to share my personal experience. Good luck and I hope you love K9 Advantix II as much as I do.
"We had moved into a new area almost a year ago. At our former location, we never had a real problem with fleas. That changed this year! Having 7 dogs to treat, I tried the ""cheap"" way. I bought the ""groomer's pack"" which was a waste of money. I tried sprays, shampoos then THIS! I purchased the 55 lb. and over package. Two tubes treated all of my doxies (6) and my pug. I treated them in the evening. The next morning I changed their bedding. I couldn't believe all of the dead fleas on their blankets! This stuff works and I will NEVER waste my time and money on anything else!"
"The BEST flea and tick repellent "
When our oldest dog was a six month old puppy, we tried Frontline at the veterinarian?ÇÖs recommendation. It was a disaster. The medication caused his skin to become so irritated that he developed a sore on the back of his neck. To make matters worse, the Frontline was ineffective. We all had to live with fleas for two or three weeks, while his sore healed enough to permit us to apply an alternative flea and tick medication. During that time, we did a lot of research on similar medications. Everyone recommended K9 Advantix II. We tried it and it worked wonderfully. We love that it is waterproof. And, each application lasts five to six weeks. Plus, it is the only medication we found, which can be used on both of our dogs, who weigh between twenty- one and fifty- five ponds. Our oldest dog has never had any problems with this medication and it has been equally effective on our other dog. We will NEVER use another flea and tick medication.
"The best product hands down."
We live in sunny south Florida where we have fleas year round. Our dog has allergies especially to fleas. This is the ONLY product that keeps them off of her so she stays comfortable. She gets bathed at least twice a week for the pollen and still this stuff works on the fleas for a whole month.
I UUSED EVERYTHING ON THE MARKET TO TREAT TICKS AND FLEAS. WE LIVE IN A HEAVILY WOODED AREA WITH LOTS OF TICKS, MY MSTIFF GOT LYMES DISEASE FROM THEM. I TRIED ADVANTIX II AND IT MADE A HUGE DIFFERENCE, NEVER SAW A FLEA. HIGHLY RECOMMENED.
Used Frontline then when moved to Memphis it seemed to not hold up against whatever different bugs/fleas/etc here. Switched to this and have seen great improvement in the fleas dander and itching in my cocker. Frontline wasn't repelling the fleas
"The Best Product Yet"
I used Bio-spot for a couple years 'til it stopped working. Then tried Frontine and it never worked. I've used Advantix since it was first marketed on both my dogs and cats (cat formula of course) and it hasn't stopped working since. I apply it to the dogs every 1.5 - 2 months. I no longer use it on the cats since they've been indoors only as the dogs treatments also seem to keep the cats flea free. When the cats start scratching I know it's time to treat the dogs again. I have had no fleas in the house or on the animals since using Advantix and the ticks don't even latch on. Wouldn't use anything else!
I had used Bio-spot for YEARS with NO problems....This past summer, it did not work at all & had to run out to local pet store & was recommended this product. It worked like a charm!! Thank goodness!! I will keep using this product because it works for me!!
I've used K9 Advantix for years and loved it. Frontline would get rid of the fleas, but I was more worried about the ticks. Just this summer I had found a tick on my 7 pound Yorkie and was able to just pull it off through his hair. It never attached, which is what makes it different than the other brands. Yes the fleas are important too, and yes it keeps them clean - and I board dogs in my home. I have yet to have a problem with my dogs - now customer dogs are another story.
"It Worked When Frontline Failed"
I have had a terrible time with flea infestation after using Frontline Plus for years successfully, suddenly it failed to work any longer. I tried all kinds of other flea treatments, none worked for us but this one. We also treated our yard with other meds. We gave a capstar to each dog then put on the K9 advantix II. I am having to apply flea treatment twice a month though, per instructions from my vet.
"DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY"
We were using the original formula K9 Advantix and it was working like a charm. NO fleas this year when last year we almost got carried away when we were using Frontline. But then...the company changed the product to the K9 Advantix II. After using it for 2 months...my dogs are now completely over run with fleas. One of my shepards is losing weight from being anemic, and my children can't go outside to play because they fleas of are getting on them too. The ONLY thing that has changed is that we are using the new formula. I WANT THE ORIGINAL K9 ADVANTIX BACK!
I have used this in the pasted and it worked. I dont know what the problem is this go around but it didnt work dogs had fleas a week after I put it on them.
