This eggbutt bit features an oval mouthpiece, to provide maximum comfort and top performance. The curved mouthpiece eliminates interference and stops the bit from hitting the roof of the mouth, allowing room for the tongue. The shape also reduces the severe, direct pressure on the bars of the mouth. Hand polished stainless steel.

    "Great for Arabs"

"I was having a terrible time finding the right snaffle for my Arabian. The ""break"" on regular snaffles was hitting the top of her palate and she was constantly ""behind"" the bit as a result. Like other reviewers, I searched other sites for this design and found it - in the 4 3/4 size we needed! Now we are ""on"" the bit, happy, and the head shaking and jitters are gone. Thanks, Jeffers for offering the smaller size and great pricing."

    "Gentle Bit"

Jeffers has the best price on this bit - I checked several other vendors. A very gentle bit that is not too thick or heavy. After using this you'll never go back to a single jointed snaffle.

    "Best bit you can get!"

My horse that detests snaffles loves this bit. He loves the center oval piece and I think the curved mouthpiece helps him accept it better also. When I first received this in the mail it seemed fairly big and heavy (I purchased the 5 1/2 inch mouthpiece) but my horse has no problems with it whatsoever and it fits him perfectly. No more head tossing! Also, the price is wonderful. You can't beat it anywhere else!

    "great design"

You can't beat the design of this bit, horses react so much better to that jointed mouthpiece, as it says in the description it's much easier on the bars of the mouth and won't pinch the tongue, throw your regular snaffles out.
