This loose ring bit features a copper mouthpiece to encourage salivation and acceptance of the bit. The curved mouthpiece eliminates interference and stops the bit from hitting the roof of the mouth, allowing room for the tongue. The shape also reduces the severe direct pressure on the bars of the mouth. Hand polished stainless steel.

    "Good bit for a beginner."

This bit would be a good bit for someone that is learning & doesn't want to spend too much on a bit. It is very fat, therefore a bunch of my horses don't listen to it. This is basically a replica of the Sprenger bits.

    "Best Bit"

This bit is the best , my horse is green and was very hard on the bit since ive got this one it has really changed, softer in the mouth and is more ''on the bit''. It is a bit smaller than normal size the 5'' was just ok but i put rubber protectors. Very good for the price!!!

    "best bit around"

That jointed mouth piece is awesome and the copper stimulates the saliva gland keeping their mouth moist. ESPECIALLY if you have a Trakehner this is the bit for you. It's easier on the bars of the mouth. Never found a snaffle that fit my Trak better.

"Good Bit, Size May Run Small"

"I bought this bit on the recommendation of the natural horsemanship training program I use. The idea was to have a soft, fat bit so as to encourage the horse to move into the contact rather than away from it. Overall, this is a well-made bit. I like that it's heavier as that offers stability in the mouth of a young/green horse. I ordered a 5"" as that is the size bit my QH mare takes - this bit seems just a bit small. Maybe the extra diameter is part of the problem, maybe these bits just run a little small. If you're looking at this bit, maybe measure it against your other bits before taking of the tags and using it. Unfortunately I don't use it much because it just seems too small for my mare."

    "Great bit"

I looked all over for a reasonably priced, soft, copper bit. I had found others like this one but they were all $70 and up. I was so excited when I found this one I ordered it on the spot and I am very happy I did. I've always thought the Korsteel products were just as well-made as their more expensive counterparts and this is no exception. I love it and intend to buy one for several of the horses I work. The only thing I think a buyer might not love is that it is not hollow, so there is a little weight to it, its not heavy, but its heftier than the hollow-mouth steel types.
