Simply mounts to the outside of the cage with easy mounting hardware. Fill with water and plug in. Protects to sub-zero temperatures.
After returning 2 bottles because they leaked so bad, I finally got two good ones that don't leak. Only problem is once it reaches -20 degrees one of the bottles freezes daily. I have 2 Flemish Giants and their bottles need filling daily. Gets annoying having to bring one in every day to thaw. I know it's not my cord because I've plugged other things in and it works. Both bottles were frozen solid tonight as temps reached -27. I'm sure they'll both be frozen tomorrow morning again as temps will reach -35 tonight
Live in NY and find the bottle works very well, very easy to add more water design, lasts about 3-5 years.
We have bought 2 of these just this winter! The first one died and started tripping our GFI to the point where we couldnt use it anymore and it was not working at all. Now the second one is starting to do the same thing! DO NOT BUY they are crap and expensive!
"Heated Rabbit waterer"
This has been a great product for me. My rabbit are in a barn. Our barn is not heated in any means. I have not had a single one of my waterers freeze on me. We live in NW Illinois and it gets pretty cold here. The only gripe I have is the cord is way too short.
While the plastic quality is better than the old style water bottle, the heating section is inefficient. The water freezes about 1/2 an inch above the black bottom. It does not get warm enough to prevent the bottle from freezing. My poor bunnies can't get enough water.
