    "Love this feeder..."

"It is perfect for our Nigerian Dwarf Goats. We have been using one for our three bucks for over a year and it is quite the hay saver. It can be reeled in from outside the pen without entering (a plus, especially when the boys are particularly ""aromatic""), refilled, and lowered back inside. Also, it helps to keep the hay dry in the rain, so the goats continue to eat after the rain stops. That is a big help here in rainy Va."

    "Better than ground feeding"

Have 2 horses. Bought 2 of these and have used them everyday in winter season for 2 years. I thought the hinges would be the weak spot but we have to replace one b/c all the holes at the top and broken and the other one has held up really well. They are much easier to fill than hay net and my horses no longer chew wood as they are busy pulling hay out but there is still more waste than I would like to see. Certainly much less waste than feeding on the ground as they can't walk thru their hay or soil it. Have had no issues with sore muzzles

    "It really works"

I purchased 2 feeders last Oct and got 2 more in Dec when I saw how well they worked. Has slowed both of my horses eating to 3 hrs per meal and less manure to clean up. They have made feeding time much easier. I know I am using 25% less hay with no body weight loss Win Win for all

    "THANK YOU!"

"I want to thank everyone for their feedback and opinion. I apologize for any inconvenience some of you may have experienced; please contact me if I can assist you in anyway! I have bred horses for 40 yrs and my intentions are to simply improve where hay nets and hay bags have failed. In doing so, I have realize there is no such thing as a ""perfect feeder"". Which is unfortunate, because I believe these magnificent animals deserve it! The Health Ez Hay Feeder is the closest solution I could come up with, and I think it does improve hay consumption for horses, and to my surprise, other grazing animals. We have made several adjustments to the Hay Feeder in recent months: We have drilled holes in the bottom so that zip-ties can replace the hinges if they break. This has been effective!http://bit.ly/MP43VV. PLEASE keep in mind I designed this feeder to give way at certain pressure points to insure the animals safety over feeder integrity. We have also strengthened the inside handles so the clip breaks first. A suggestion for hanging: Hang the feeder in the center of stall to reduce noise and breakage; and to allow your horse to feed safely from both side of the feeder. Hanging from trees in the pasture is handy too! Thank you all for your honest assessment; we are constantly improving, and your feedback makes it all possible. Sincerely, Ed Beyers CEO & Founder www.healthezhayfeeder.com"

    "Ok But???"

Purchased 3 of these EZ feeders for same reason everyone does and thats to slow down the horses and save feed which keeps going up! These feeders work to a point, 1st the metal clip is junk I had to go to walmart to buy replacements 3 bucks a piece, the hinge is hard to put togather and then pulls apart so you have to bend them back in place, and finally one has already been broken at the top where the metal clip attaches. I've had these EZ feeders about 4 months and at 40 bucks a pop pretty pricy to be replacing this often, if they were 20 bucks no big deal! But they do slow the horse down and save feed unless you factor in the cost of the feeders!

    "Perfect!"

I have mini donks and mini llamas. I just always have the small end of the caribiner snap on the bottom. I bring a tote with hay and stuff 2 of these feeders packed full of hay for 6 animals. The animals have the time of their life feeding out of these and it keeps the rain out. Definitely worth it for your smaller livestock. Not sure about horses, but if I had a horse, would probably hang the feeder up alot higher.

    "Barb from Wisconsin"

Very hard on your horses muzzle!! No wonder it saves on hay it is almost cruel watching them eating out it.. Had one come lose and fall down in stall and horse had its leg cought in it and could not get out without help.. Thank God, it was a calm horse or it really could of been a wreck!! Would not buy one for a horse again... Maybe would be ok for cattle or goats!!

    "Health EZ feeder"

I bought this product hoping my filly would not destroy it, that it would slow her eating down, and keep the hay in the tub so she wouldn't eat off the sand. Nets last about 1 feeding if I fail to go out and retrieve them as soon as she is done eating. In several respects the Health EZ has met my criteria. It does slow her down (takes her about 3 hours to finish each of her two feedings) and keeps the hay in the tub. I have my Health EZ hung on a 2x4 rail that is conveniently at the right height and location such that it just misses the hot wire while hanging in the feed tub. Without the hotwire in such close proximity, the rope supplied with this feeder would be gone in a day. I was somewhat concerned about the carabiner that came with it would pose some issues of safety, but because that is also at the top of the rigid feeder and next to the hotwire, she doesn't play with it. Had it been an issue, one of those links w/ the screw down thread would have been substituted. The feeder comes with some nylon twine to keep it from opening more than 90 degrees. That lasted one feeding, of course. I substituted cable, which has it's drawbacks as well. It's hard to get the ends close enough the to crimp to avoid a sharp edge. I mounted those in two configurations... one the loop is on the outside of the feeder.. the other the loop is to the inside. Outside is the way to go. The down sides... This feeder has been in use maybe a year at most and has cracked and broken off small wedges on the sides near the hinge. The hinge has always been difficult to deal with. It is pushed together while the feeder is laying at a 180 degree angle and difficult to get to engage. It has also come loose on one side on more occasions than I care to deal with. Bottom line... this feeder may work well for you if you don't have a Miss Destructo on your farm or you are able to modify it to alleviate those problems. I myself am still lookin

    "Ingenius!"

We've tried everything (almost) and this is the best! Easy, lightweight, holds a couple of days worth of hay for my small herd of goats and sheep (we use two or three for 7 goats and 5 sheep). Much less waste, they can feed off the ground, and it even offers some rain protection! Couldn't be happier

    "Best Ever"

Easiest and best hay feeder I have ever used. Will never use anything else. Saves money and safer for my stock.

    "Health EZ Hay Feeder"

I am ordering a second Health EZ Hay Feeder. My horse and mule are arguing over who gets to eat from the first one. It is easy to fill and hang, saves hay, and if your horse will share, more than one can feed from it at once. No more muddy hay!
