"Clear, and Bright Colors"
The tag came fast and was easy to read, bright coloring, and looked great on my little pom. I like to order the large tags even for my little dogs. They are easy to see, and even though the tags are bigger the poms have no problems with them. Even 4 months later, the color on the tag is still bright, writing is easy to see. (This tag was put on a puppy, and has held up wonderfully) And as a plus no staining on the fur that I can tell. I would order these again.
The small bone shape is tiny and well suited for a small dog! The writing is small if you get several lines though. Great tag for the money!
I like the tag, nothing wrong it JUST missing the O ring to attach to the dog's U ring on the collar. What good is the tag that I can't attach?
"Great Harness Tag"
I own a carriage/sleigh company and I have a lot of beginning drivers who make mistakes. I use these tags to put on the harnesses and bridles to help keep everything straight. That way I don't have to switch harnesses for 8 teams 10 minutes before a ride!
"I just got 3 collar slide tags to replace my dog's old ID tag, one for each of her two new collar/leash sets and a spare for her next color set. I had her name- first and last- put on the first line, my phone number on the second, county and state on the third, ""dog license"" on the fourth, and the # on the fifth (didn't want any doubt about what county or what the mumber meant). The writing is small, but readable (I got the black with Roman font), and she has no dangling tags- it's amazing how much quieter it is at night. She has a delicate stomach and sometimes needs out in the middle of the night, so leaving her old collar with the dangling tags off at night wasn't an option."
"large bone tag"
Large bone tag was on back order. When I recieved it, I had to put on my readers. The engraving is so thin, you can hardly make out what it says. Won't buy any more of these. Had originally ordered 3, when those become available, thanks but no thanks! :o)
First off, the customer service was a 5 star experience. They had a question about my order and had some concern about me ordering the silver tag so they called me directly. The Jeffers employee recommended that I pick a color over the silver option as it would be much more legible, and wow was she right. I got a black slider and red bone and both are highly legible with contemporary font. They even sent me the silver one they had already engraved and had called to let me know how hard it was to read at no charge. It was really hard to read, if you get a silver make sure you get the thickest font option they have or you will be disappointed. The only reason I gave the actual product a 4 star rating is becuase the rings you connect the tag to the collar with are kind of cheap, and I actually lost the silver tag (my backup collar tag on my secondary collar) due to this problem. Get out some old car key chains and add a stronger link ring and this is an amazing buy. The color edges do eventually rub off, but most of the color stays on based on my 10 month and one energetic border collie experience. Again, 5 stars for the customer service, love ordering from ya'll!
"Pleased with my tags"
I am pleased with the quality and price of the tags. I use the small bones and include three lines of text with the rescue name and phone number. The text is small, but very readable. We are a rescue so go through quite a lot of them, but don't know how they do for longevity. The price is the best that I have found for the quantities I purchase.
"Large-collar tags useless"
"If you buy the large ""Collar"" ID tag, be sure to hand a magnifying glass on the dogs collar as well. Why on earth did they discontinue the ""oblong"" ID tag which allowed reasonably sized type?"
"Slider tag awesome!"
My dog is a 'destroyer', including getting hold of that dangling ID tag. Needed the slider tag - got it in black, block letters. Many months later, it's still holding up great, nothing has worn off. It's the perfect solution for my dog. Also getting one w/ dog license & rabies info - so no tags are dangling! PERFECT PRODUCT!!
Remarkably small engraving, and it isn't nearly deep enough. It's barely even deep enough to feel if you run your finger over it, much less see. Part of the lettering I requested was left off the tag too. Since I'm so disappointed at the size and depth of the engraving I'm not even going to bother with the hassle of trying to return them, I'm just going to buy new ones somewhere else.
I was very dissapointed with these tags. I bought five, and the silver one did not even show the lettering barely at all from day one. The colored tags rubbed off on our dogs' fur and stained it. All the lettering wore off within a month, EXCEPT for the 2L Block print which is actually still going strong (of course, that's on our only indoors dog, all the indoor/outdoor dogs have no lettering left). Had to buy tags from a different company. Don't know if I can name that company here but WOW they are great tags, and guaranteed for life. Anyway, don't bother buying these tags, not worth anything. Sorry Jeffers, we LOVE all your other products!
I bought a couple of the round black ID tags with the script writing. Not only was the writing hard to see, the black is wearing off the outer edges within a couple weeks. The purpose of an ID tag is to speak for your pet, but if people cannot read the writing, what use is it? Don't waste your money on this.
I bought two small tags in SS color. The engraving is not deep enough to read. I do not know why they allow up to 4 lines on this TINY tag. I would not recommend more than one line. These tags are worthless.
"Lettering wore off on all 4 tags"
I liked the size and shape of the tag when I first got them but noticed the engraving seemed lightly done and not as good of a quality as I have ordered here before. After only a few months they are now unreadable and I have to order other tags. They may be a good price but for dogs that actually move a lot they are a poor choice.
