"Unless your dog is toothless...."
Just after 2 tosses and quick retrieves this disk/ring had so many toothmarks and punctures. After 10, in less than 10 minutes without allow my big dog to chew on it there was maybe a 2" section that wasn't chomped up. This isn't going to last more than a couple more 10min or less play periods. Not worth the price, cheap as it is. Not durable in anyway shape or form. Just for a 'soft-mouthed' retriever breed, maybe. Wish I could upload the pic I took.
"It's a frisbee not a chew toy!"
We buy these in bulk for our German Shepherds and have used them for years! Perfect for retrieval. Good way to exercise them. The plastic is soft enough that we can even use the frisbee for a game of tug. We put the frisbee away when we are finished interacting. It is not meant to be a chew toy. Of course the dog will chew it up (and eat it) if given the opportunity! We love these.
"CF from Midwest"
We have been buying these for years for our Lab and Doberman. Yes, they do chew them up but they are the best toy we have ever found for flying/catching and chasing each other around with. The price is right so we order several at a time to replace as needed. Hope they never raise the price or stop making them because our two pups would the "Original Dog Catcher" more than any other toy!
"A great and safe toy"
This dog catcher is the best toy ever found! Weimaraners, PitBull and Lab, all chase and return them. The catcher is light and easy to through even by a child, it float so dogs can swim after them. Sure enough they occasionally chew on them, so I keep buying them! I'll teach the dog not to chew on his toys... A great item at a great price!
My border collie has been catching these since I rescued her 10 years ago. She loves these, doesn't really care for any other kind as she can catch these through the middle and stacks them on her neck :)
"Not for chewers!"
Well, I can't rate this on it's flying capabilities as my non-chewing dog completely demolished this before we even got it outside! I was concerned that she would choke on the pieces! Though it was easier for her to pick up than a typical frisbee, it is definitely not for a chewer!
I agree, my border collie absolutely LOVES this frisbee as well! I always have to buy multiples because unfortunately for me, she loves tugging w/ these frisbees.
This is my border collies favorite Frisbee. He will not even play with the regular kind after using this one. I will be buying several more, Jeffers is the only place that I have seen them.
