7½" shank. Adjustable curb chain.
Made in China
This hackamore would be great if it was stainless steel. A friend and I both purchased one of these; his is rusted to pieces after 10 rides (but he doesn't clean his tack often), mine is starting to rust after three rides (and I clean my tack after every use)
"I LOVE IT ALMOST AS MUCH AS THEY DO!!!!"
I recently purchased a quarter horse gelding that was being ridden with this style of hackamore. I wasn't able to get it as part of the purchase agreement, and was very happy to find out that they were available for such a low cost at Jeffers. On a whim I tried it on my paint/arabian mare over the weekend, and it was the best ride I have had with her in the 3+ years she has been with me! She was very comfortable and calm. I even took her through some new areas and she was suprisingly relaxed. I now have two horses that can be ridden with this hackamore. This one is much softer and more giving/flexible than the others that I have looked at. I couldn't possibly be any happier with this product and how my horses have responded to it. I love it almost as much as my horses do, and the girls at the barn are wanting to try it on their horses now after seeing how well my mare responded to it.
"Lite-to save thier mouths!!"
I teach alot of riding lessons and have people over to ride that are beginners and very inexperienced. I use these hackamores on all the horses who have beginners on thier backs. It saves thier mouth from the usual beginners tugging/pulling--and it's also easier to put on then putting a bit in thier mouth.
I had a gymkhana mare that loved this hackamore. She would do anything in it.
This is a beatiful hackamore. I love the dark leather.
"My horse loves it."
I have had this for 2 years and it is time for a new one, but I definately recommend this hackamore! I use it on my jumper that had a bad mouth experience and cannot use a bit:) A few months ago I had to replace the chin chain, but heck, I have had it forever, anyways amd the replacement was only $3 at Jeffers. The fleece is also very easy to clean. I use mild soap, water, and a toothbrush. GO BUY THIS HACKAMORE ( from Jeffers of course)
"good hack for the price"
good cheap hack to keep in the tack room, works well for many things, we really like it for trail riding or seasoned horses during a relaxing ride, and is also great for endurance riding.
