The dogs love it! Best dog bed I ever bought!
I've been using these beds for my personal pets for several years. They love them. Cool in summer. In the winter I just add a snuggly blanket. I have one dog that we literally have to drag out of bed in the morning. A little tricky to put the replacement cover back on but well worth the money. These have worked great for us at the clinic for our boarding dogs.
"My dogs favorite bed!"
I have 3 of these beds. 1 in my bedroom, 1 in my living room (ok, maybe not a decorators do but we are here to please our pets not decorators), and 1 that stays outside year round at my farm. It is amazing that the one outside (over 3 years old) looks almost as good as the 2 inside (probably 4 years old now). I have labs and they all love this bed. It does not get hot and must be comfortable because they use them a lot. It doesn't look cozy but it must give the perfect support. My labs are 75 to 80 lbs and fit comfortably on the medium but I have the large for nighttime. I will definately by again.
"Coolaroo Pet Bed"
I love the Coolaroo Pet Bed and more importantly, my dogs love it. Beanie has always slept in the bed with us and now she sometimes chooses her Coolaroo bed over the big bed for the night! Wow!
"Great with a major issue ! "
I purchased two of these large beds. My dogs are indoor dogs but love to be outside in their fenced in yard so I put these out there for them. Best thing ever, UNTIL, I wanted to replace the covers. I also cannot get them apart for anything so that is now almost 100 dollars down the drain. I have tried everything. If you DO buy these beds I suggest putting some sort of lubricant in the holes before putting it together so that you can get them apart to change the covers.
"It Tears Apart So Quick"
My pups are not heavy. They weigh far less than the allowed maximum weight limit. Yet the canvas tears quickly, never lasting more than a couple months before having to order a replacement
"One major issue"
I bought two of these beds and loved them. Used them outside exclusively for our two rescues to use to lay on when they were outside in their fenced in doggie yard. Ordered 2 new covers, but can't get the screws out for anything! Tried lubricant, tapping with hammer to loosen, nothing works. No idea what to do now.
"Great Outdoor Bed"
My dogs love this bed! We've had it for over 3 years & it is still in great shape, holding up well to being outside in the elements all the time. I'm getting them another one for Christmas.
"The Best Bed"
Our Great Pyrenees love these beds as do our goats. After over a year they still look absolutely perfect and they are easier to clean than any others we have had for them - just a hose will do and they dry immediately. They have held up perfect to the weight of the large dogs and I will soon be getting more so they don't have to take turns using them. This was by far the best dog bed purchase I have made.
We were delighted to find these cots last year. The mesh fabric dries almost instantly which is so important for use outdoors! It's especially nice that replacement covers are available since our large dogs love lounging on their cots so much.
Originally bought large size for an outside family of cats--five good sized cats would curl up on it in the hot Texas summer. When they passed away our second dog started to use it and loves it (our first dog would not get on it, but she is the type that avoids grates in sidewalks, unstable surfaces etc). Has lasted probably 3-4 years outside, through rain and shine and still going strong. Some of best spent money ever, great quality, great price.
Great bed!! Our Labs absolutely love these beds! I love the new design that doesn't require screws....we replace the cover about once a year.
GREAT BED! I have several large dogs and these beds last forever. The dogs love them also. Comfortable and it gets them off the concrete or ground! Wonderful for older dogs also!
"my dog loves this bed"
As soon as the bed was put together my dog was on it. Its in the back yard and keeps him off the concrete an out of the dirt. He weighs 61 pounds an does fine with them medium size bed. Thanks Jeffers from Quincy
I have one of these beds (in large) that is now about 10 years old. Most of that time it has been outside in all weathers. After years of use by two collies, the bed frame itself is still in great shape but needs a new cover. HOWEVER, after so long the screws holding the legs together are frozen or perhaps rusted in place. Because the heads of the screws are recessed and the screws themselves fasten into a kind of sleeve which is hidden inside the end pieces of the frame, it is impossible to get at them with a lubricant or a tool other than a simple screwdriver. I took the bed to the hardware store and also called the manufacturer, and nobody could think of a solution. So I will have to throw out the whole bed because I can't get it apart to install a replacement cover. If you leave this bed outside I would suggest loosening and retightening the screws every couple of years to avoid this problem. And be sure you can take the bed apart before you order replacement covers!
