The type of flea and tick prevention you choose for your pet and

"CAPSTAR IS A #1"
CAPSTAR is the best thing since sliced bread!! Keeps all of Maxwell's Rat Terriers flea free safely!!
This is the best product I have ever used but I need something that will last longer than a day. I have 3 dogs ranging from 55-120 pounds, with ages of 6,13, and 14. Cannot afford the flea problem.
THIS WORKED GREAT! WITHIN 30 MIN OF GIVING THIS TO MY CAT, I STARTED FINDING DEAD FLEAS WHERE EVER SHE HAD BEEN LAYING. I WILL ORDER MORE OF THIS.
"I could not believe it!!"
I could not believe how well Capstar worked!!! We have fought a flea infestation for months on our 2 yellow labs...I tried everything!!! The poor dogs were at the point of losing their hair and having scabs on their body from the many flea bites, and I was at my wits end!!! I took a chance and bought it!!! I gave the dogs one tablet each at around 5 pm, by the next morning...NO FLEAS!! I could not believe it!! I am sold on Capstar!!! Only side effect I noticed, was a little lethargy the next day...but they are doing great now!!! AWESOME PRODUCT, and IT REALLY WORKS!!
I have used Capstar for my Rottweiler/Shepard mix for several years, and she's an outdoor dog. I never saw her scratching, nor any fleas on her. One tablet usually worked for a month. Easy to use - I just stuck a tablet in a piece of weiner, but she would eat it out of my hand, too.
This product workds great! I had tried shampoos, drops, sprays, powders and nothing would stop the fleas...until Capstar. It only has one major flaw that would stop it from working...The pet has to actually swallow the pill and keep it down, lol. Pets will pick up a pill and walk away and spit it out when you are not looking. You have to make sure the pill gets swallowed. Put it in some favorite snack or something, if you do it will work.
"does not work"
We tried this product and at checked the dogs at 2 hr intervals, and it did not work at all! What a waste of money!
As a cat rescuer, taking in a new cat can be problematic. One abandoned kitten can infest the entire household. So Capstar is something I now keep on hand. It is only meant to be an emergency shock treatment, and the animal must be dosed with a topical flea preventative within 24 hours. But to get rid of the ones on the animal at the time, it does exactly as advertised. Jeffers price can't be beat. My vet charges $35 for a single dose of Capstar. For the same money,I can buy a whole 6 pack of the stuff from Jeffers, and still have enough left over for for a few catnip mice.
"Great for camping!"
We take the horses and dogs and go camping or to rides for days at a time. The dogs get a capstar on the way home so that no fleas come home with us! Occasionally during the hotter days of summer we see fleas at home (lots of deer, squirrel and rabbit here), but after a capstar and a bath, they are gone. We don't need to use a year-round product, so why pay for something that you don't need? On average, I use 6 tablets a year(1 box) with EXCELLENT results - no fleas, not a spec of flea dirt. We are FLEA FREE!
"Capstar is my ""wonder pill"" for my old German Shepherd!! Sadly, he loves to roam the 5 acres and some is very sandy and is a ""FLEA MAGNET""!! I can put ANY spot on treatment on him and still have to use Capstar once a week or so as he gets hundreds of baby fleas on him from the woods!!! Thank God for an instant cure to help the long term products!!"
"Works Exactly As Intended"
This product is excellent. It works exactly as intended by killing all fleas currently on your pet over a period of 24 hours. Capstar works best as a part of a flea regimen. It is designed to work only for 24 hours, which it says right there on the box!! This is not a preventive flea treatment, nor is it meant to be, but that is what is so great about it. You can use it to immediately remove the fleas currently irritating your fur baby, and then apply a topical flea treatment for long-term use. Highly recommend.
Capstar works as intended. 30 min after your animal takes this any flea that bites your animal will drop dead. It lasts for 1 -24 hour period. I use this once a week with Program (once a month). Program chemically spays all female fleas so they can't breed. Combined you will not have a flea problem.
"Works as it says it will!"
This is a GREAT product. I do animal rescue and when I take in a dog that has fleas I automatically give them a capstar. It is not intended for flea prevention so it will not prevent more fleas. However, it will rid your animal of fleas extremely fast!! I always keep Capstar on hand. It is an excellent product and Jeffers has an excellent price on it!
"POOR -works only 1 day at a time"
"I seen so many 5 start so I got this item for my chihuahua. My poor doggy only had few fleas when I gave him the first dosage.Yes it got them all off, but day 2 he had twice as many-again it said to give another pill a day, and again killed them few more.Third day-INFESTED with fleas. The area his is at has been sprayed and cleaned with treatment, he's been taking flea bathe and dips plus this ""WONDER"" pill-yet every time I treat him, the next day is twice as bad as the first time. Should have brought something else that will work longer than only one day."
I'm skepical, but always hope, of products doing what they say they do, because most don't. This product does exactly what it claims to do. I was especially pleased because it gave relief to my cats who became infested 2 weeks after getting a 'spot-on' applied to them! (one example of why I'm skepical!) It was even a name brand.... I bought them through my vet, wish cost twice as much than through Jeffers. Not that I cared at the time. Today, I'm stocking up to have on hand just incase these miserable things decide to come back. Highly recommend.
