Got this Hackamore from Jeffers December 2012. I use it on my barrel horse at home for exercises and any time I'm not running her.
I have a 13 year old mare who I got as a 3 year old. Started her when she was 7. Ran her for a year or so before I got tired of her nonsense. Always fighting me, getting frustrated. I let my mom have her and rode her myself as little as possible. She had the last year off because we bred her and let her nurse for 7 months. I got on her just a week ago and she's back to her nonsense self. Not a bad horse. Just irritating. Fighting and over-flexing
Switched my mare to this from side pull after saddle breaking. It has such awesome control, I can literally use one finger to turn her in figure eights, offers great but gentle control! Will be purchasing another for the gelding I am starting.
i ordered this and was very disappointed when i recieved it that it wasn't really rope on the noseband. but i went ahead and used it. my 2 year old gelding had no problems after 6 hours today of riding. not even a rub mark. excellent product.
