Most economical heartworm preventative for dogs!
Reviewed By:  MJ Tenwick (Fort Myers, Florida)
According to my vet, the correct dose for dogs is 1/10th of a cc ( ml )or .1 PER 11 lbs of dog's weight. I have used this method of heartworm preventative every month for ten years with 100% success. The dose for the rabbit sounds like a HUGE OVERDOSE. a 5 LB rabbit would only need 1/20th of a ml or cc. if this is even an appropriate medication for rabbits. It is TOXIC to cats and should never be given to them.

Being part of a dog rescue group and many dogs going thru our rescue we use this as the monthly heart worm treatment for the dogs, including my personal dogs under Vet supervision. HOWEVER: The dosage is 0.1 ml per 10 lbs or 1/10th of a cc per 10 lbs that is a 50 lb dog would get 1/2 a ml. or 0.5 cc.

Correction: 1/10 of a ml per lb. for a rabbit given once then repeat in 7 days. Sorry for the confusion.
