Though I've recently began using the Alpaca, I have used this girth for a few years. Ironically, it's been the same too the entire time. It wasn't until having reached 5 years of use that one of them actually gave way and broke. It happened to be the one that I used on a lot of trail rides and went through my share of mudd and water. It was worth the money I spent on it to have it endure all that.
