I have a small (10 hand) pony (but WAY over 300 pounds)that I was having difficulty getting a well fitting halter for. I tried every small size halter Hamilton makes- her head was too big for mini halters and too small for pony, weanling and yearling halters. The foal halters just were not proportioned right. The Jeffers equine "pony" size halter was proportioned exactly right for her somewhat refined almost arabian type head shape and this halter was less than 1/2 the price of the Hamilton halters. I had ordered turquoise which was really pretty but it did fade pretty quickly. Despite the color fading the nylon is good quality and hasn't gotten that worn out fuzzy look after 6 months constant use, all the metal hardware is in very good shape as well, no corrosion or breaks. I will be buying more of these.
