My mare really tore up her hind leg below the hock-a good 2 inch high and wide hole. Wasn't stichable as the wound was discovered days later when she had been brought in from the pasture. Our vet gave this to me when my quarter horse mare got a half-dollar size gash on her pastern. She is kept in a pasture so I was worried about it getting infected from all the dirt but I applied it twice a day and it healed nicely.
