I have had three of these bowls for over a year and was not impressed with them after the first month. They were pretty at first, but after several washings--not in anything strong, just dishwashing det--the paint started coming off and the rubber around the bottom started coming off and cracking. No they don't tip and the inside looks good--functionally they work, asthetically, they look pretty ugly after a short time of use.
I used to have the wider based, plain stainless steel no-tip bowls for my dog. They worked well, especially because my dog LOVES to tip over his food dish. I got these bowls in the antique cooper to match my kitchen, but I was a little nervous because they are taller and I thought they might be easy to tip. I've had them for about 6 months and he's only tipped them over once, a small price to pay because they look GREAT in my kitchen.
