If your dog does not chew and you are willing to constantly tighten the screws, then they are great. My dogs love to lay on them, but several of them chew the cover immediately. Two days max usage, My older dogs, who did not chew on the beds liked them, but every week or so I have to tighten the connection or the beds fall apart. Guess you get what you pay for. I now make my own covers but still have to deal with the flimsiness.
Like Donna V's dog, mine actually SMILED too! My 6 year old Doberman loves to "move" her bed and blankets in and out of her house and around in her pen. During the rainy months they get wet and for a doberman, this is not good. I purchased this bed hoping that it would keep her dry (every pet owner knows you can't change them so learn to work around THEM!) Anyway, I gave it to her yesterday and she literally ran around the pen in circles and "catapulted" off the bed like a trampoline. I haven't seen her this excited since she was a puppy! She refused to get off the bed. I was worried in reading the reviews that it would take time for her to use it but am I glad I decided to purchase it. I bought an extra cover "just in case". I am expecting years of great things from this bed!
We have had this bed for almost 2 yrs now and it is Sierra's FAVORITE. Like others stated, it took a few tries before she would get on it, but once she did she was hooked. I bought a replacement cover when I first ordered the product and I swapped it out today. It was not worn out...I was just tired of looking at Green so now I am looking at Terracotta! My 11 yr old dog couldn't be happier. I swear she smiles when she gets on it...no, really, she does! :-)
