Each design features pressure points that condition your pet to respect owner boundaries. Even after the X-Mat® is removed from the training area, pets will associate that area with discomfort and stay away. Available in two versions.
Original: over 650 bumps and rigid design.
Extra: (for more coverage) over 850 bumps and flexible design.
I love the x-mats. I've tried everything to get my dogs off our leather sofa, and nothing worked until the x-mats. They're not so sharp that your dog screams in pain, but if they walk along them, they become really uncomfortable and get down right away. I personally haven't tried the cheaper regular x-mat, went straight for the extra one that's around $10, and it's worth every penny. If the mat were too light, I know my dogs would just get ahold of it, pull it off the couch, and it would become their next toy, so the extra weight is great. The only downfall I can find is that I haven't been able to find bigger sizes, so you end up buying quite a few to properly cover a large sectional couch. As I said before though, it's worth every penny to protect your couch.
