The #1 recommended headcollar endorsed by leading trainers, vets and behaviorists worldwide.
Quickly controls jumping and pulling. This humane restraint is NOT a muzzle (your dog may open his mouth to eat, drink, pant, bite, etc.) and it won't choke.
I got a German Shepherd from the pound who would NOT walk on a leash. He pulled me down and I got a black eye and broken glasses. My vet recommended gentle leader and it was a lifesaver, for me and the dog.
I have a young Austrain/German shepard female, how is used to playing with 2 larger/older labs - She will puller you all over the yard, not listen or pay attention, I ended up fighting with her more then not. I put the Gentle Leader on, yes wasn't so sure at first but easily adjusted. I can take her for a walk now, work on nail trimming, etc. she pays attention to me! Less hassle & much more enjoyable for BOTH of us. Highly recommend it - watch video first so you under stand how to set up for each dog, how to use & work with it. It really is gentler then any thing else I've used!
I have this for one of my dogs that pulls no matter what. This works exactly like a horse halter and keeps control of his head. Where the head goes, the body follows. To the other person who says this is cruel and that the color provokes aggression, obviously doesn't know squat about dogs.
Dog will try to paw it off at first, it's natural. It's something new. You have to be consistent with the training of any new training tool. That goes for this one too. My dog learned to wear it in 10 minutes. He see's it now and comes running for his walk.
