This is a great little clipper. I bought one about a year ago for clipping my average haired mare. It's perfect for keeping her trim looking fresh; not too loud and a good size. It hasn't needed another battery yet and the blade still cuts great. I keep it oiled and use a blade coolant/cleaner spray. I don't bathe my girl before clipping her but I do brush the sand out of her hair. I'd recommend this for light duty clipping and would happily buy another when this one dies.
I like these for quick touch ups on udders - I have show dairy goats. But they die quickly and when I tried to open it up to see if clogged and thats why it wasn't working, everything popped out and I cant locate how to put it back together. :( guess its not to big of a deal since it was dead anyway. But just that to say - don't expect to fix it on your own, or be careful everything explodes out.
I have ordered at least 6 or 7 of these over the years. They are really handy and do great touch ups especially on ears and stomach and legs, but they don't last very long and are strictly for very light shaving. They clog easily.I ordered one silver pair that never did work, but I did not bother to send it back. They are inexpensive enough to order two and usually they last about a year. They are very handy for quick touch ups at a show.
