I have tried just about every reflective collar on the market over the past 5 years. These look nice and reflect brightly. The breakaway strength is set appropriately. However, the reflective coating can get scratched off pretty easily so I took one star off. So, if your cat is new to wearing a collar or often scratches at a collar, go with a plastic reflective collar. Otherwise this is a good choice.
For more safety, add a reflective tag so your pet can be seen from the front, when the collar isn't visible. Put some red Scotchlite tape on the back of any existing tag, and turn the tag so the relective tape is facing outward. The reflective collar&tag combo will make him highly visible at night. If the pet gets lost, even in the daytime or at a distance, the bright red dot of the tag on its chest will show that it's a lost housecat, not wild.
