When I received the chicken in the mail I was very satisfied, not only was it large but it had a very loud squeaker. Then I gave my dog this toy and within a few minutes the head was off and the stuffing that's inside was everywhere. My dog still played with the headless chicken but she shredded it into a million pieces.My girl is not a big chewer either but this toy was just very easy to puncture unfortunately.
Might be great for small dogs but not medium dogs that are normal chewers and definately not for a dog that is a chewer. This lasted litterally 30 seconds!
This is our dog's most favorite toy. He loves to squeak this chicken when he goes out to chase squirrels in the back yard. He loves it so much, he buries it with its head up in the yard daily, and then brings it out when he needs it. This toy has the best and the funniest squak sound to it. I see that they are on "Indefinite Back Order" right now. I'm so glad that I stocked up (bought several). One lasts 6 months or so even when left out in the backyard.
