My wife and I had tiny toy poodlles for for over 20 years, and one set of golden a5 single speed clippers was what we used on 9 dogs. Old set still works, but we going to buy an other set now.
I bought this clipper over 10 years ago and have used it regularly (about every 6-8 weeks) on our Portuguese Water Dog. It's a big job to clip him. I have also used it here and there on our 2 horses for the past 4 years. I don't do any maintenance aside from dipping the blades in clipper grease. The clippers always work great and the only reason I'm getting a new clipper (exactly the same) is that I messed up and bent the mechanism inside with a grooming tool - my bad. Definitely recommend these.
I have the A5's and just ADORE them...They are dependable and durable! They are very quiet too! I would definitely recommend them to anyone...from dogs to horses...they are easy to use and operate!
