Vary handy. I use them to put a hotwire over panel gates to keep bulls from crowding it. I also use them in place of shutoffs when going through long sections of frequently falling trees, lots of sudden oak death here. Then I can easily loosen or open a section to redo after trees fall. Better contact than trying to wrap enough wire around a ring insulator for contact.
