MY favorite hen was tore up from the roosters, she had no skin at all left on her back just open raw meat! This stuff did wonders for my mare when she jumped directly over the top of a T-post (the protective cap had come off) and opened up a deep slice on where her front left leg joined her chest. This hard to wrap area needed a barrier while healing began.
