I have an overweight Maltese. He really doesn't eat that much, only eats once a day. But, he gets treats every time he goes potty or is good when getting his teeth brushed. So, the calories are probably coming from his treats. So, I thought I'd try this low calorie substitute, and so far both he and my new Yorkie like them. I was concerned they wouldn't, but they do. So, I gradually transferring him over to more and more of these, rather than high cal treats. And, the 16 oz bag is pretty big too, and ought to last a while. I'm getting ready to order some more. I wish I could find some other low cal treats to give them so variety. I don't know yet if they'll help take off the weight I'd like to see him lose. But, he likes them, and that's at least half the battle!
These are the perfect treats for any size dog. Low calorie, bag lasts a long time and easy to carry for training. I also have a dog that can be aggressive for vet visits and these treats are sized perfectly for him to eat while muzzled, his visits have gone better now that we can use positive reinforcement tools more easily.
