If you're looking for non-skid, you may want to try another product. The rubber peeled off even though it was not damaged by my pets. I tried super-gluing it back, but it didn't stick.
Very good quality bowl -- bought a total of 3 (2 of the 1qt and 1 of the 1 pint) for some of our Malinois puppies. However, with one of our pups, the bowl is tip resistant but not tip proof. It takes Kara a good 10 minutes but she manages to turn it over so she can play with it! Better focus than with any of her toys!
I ordered two of the 3qt bowls. On arrival the black rubber on one of the bowls was broken. I called the store and requested they send me another rubber edging. They promptly sent me a new bowl. My only disappointment with the bowls is that the black rubber leaves black markings on my hands when I pick them up. I have scrubbed on it and it still leaves black marks all over my hands. I usually wash my hands after feeding the dogs but it is a nuisance to have black all over my hands. Otherwise it is good quality.
