I have a large cat with long thick fur that mats tight to the skin so unable to use scizzors to cut into mats. The aloe care dematter easily combs through the mats without pulling too much and the cat tolerates the dematting without much fuss. I would recommend this grooming tool for long haired cats, particularly if the animal is skiddish and hard to handle.
