PVC covers are waterproof, fire resistant and antimicrobial, they just wipe clean.
these are not fitted for most, if any crates. only 2 sizes. I also notice that it holds dog smells. I was trying to avoid that since I keep my dogs inside at night in crates. I need to wipe it almost daily with Clorox wipes.
I purchased this bed and within the week of my dog laying on it I noticed cracks/splitting in the cover. This bed is not durable at all. Its like the PVC cover was dry- rotted. My dog ended up not wanting to lay on it even when we flipped it over, I guess because the cover kept splitting and would poke her whenever she moved.
We bought four of these beds to use in a kennel-type setting just to try out for a couple dogs with sore joints. They are great! They are easy to clean and have held up very well--that was almost two years ago! I am now looking to by more for a different location.
