We have several of these. Have had one since I first started riding almost 7 years ago and none have broken. Great price and the handle makes it easier to scoop.
I used to think. “Who would spend money on a scoop when you can use a coffe can for free?” Then after winning a couple at a show, I now understand. I love them. The handle makes for easy use and I do not spill grain as often as I did with the coffee cans.
I've been using these on the farm for as long as I can remember and have only had one break from a cow stepping on it. I have dropped them thrown them and pushed them to their limits and they don't break. The only time I have ever spilt anything out of them is when I turn them to the side to far. They are an excellent tool I use every day for feeding dogs, sheep, goats, cows, and horses.
