Lightweight, polyethylene Tread-in Posts that accept tapes up to 2" wide. Lots of clips makes fence design easy. Also accepts wire & polywire.
Ideal for temporary electric fencing such as controlled grazing and pasture management.
48" post extends 10" into the ground,
(38" above-ground) 8 clips.
NOTE: 48" posts do not have the stirrup step-in feature.
60" post extends 10" into the ground,
(50" above-ground) 12 clips.
I was specifically looking for the stirrup step-in post. The picture appears to show that type of post. I ordered the shorter posts and was surprised to see they do NOT have the stirrup post. I have recommended that Jeffers clarify that issue in their advertising.
Used them this weekend at Graves Mt. AWESOME! MY horse is generally an escape artist, and these were tall enough to prevent him from trying to jump out and held the poly rope just fine. Easy to put in ground.
The 60" post would probably work well with braided rope but the 2" tape in windy conditions puts too much strain on the post at the top of the stirrup. I've had a dozen of these break right at the stirrup. The shorter posts have the metal pin running up into the post and seem to hold up better. If you need taller posts it would be better to use metal T-posts. They cost just a little more than the 60" plastic ones. However you then have to buy the extra fittings.
