we use this for our Boer kids. holds enough heat to give a good copper ring in about 12-15 seconds. can be difficult to do additional burns to the 'cap' without burning surrounding area, but overall a great product
This dehorner works great. I disbud kids as early as a day old and this iron stays hot even in very cold temps. A stand would be nice but a nail on the wall works well for keeping the iron high enough so nothing touches it.
This is a must have for disbudding goat kids. We have a small herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats and the X-30 is perfect, not too small and not too big. It heats fast and is not too bulky too manuever and hold. Highly recommend burning your own horns and definitely using the x-30 to do so. No blood, no mess, very quick and clean.
