I have used these padded halters for over 10 years, the average life span is 3 to 5 years.Good for leading bathing even ponying young horses.Never leaves marks but eventually the rubber siding wears out with use. The snaps are sound working quality.GREAT for the $
After a year and a half the throat snap broke, I now use it as a grooming halter. Good if you need to leave it on a horse, the padding does not rub the hair off and my horse never even had a line from it. Have already bought the replacement.
