For proper grounding of ALL Parmak fencers, it is recommended that you use three (3) 8' copper ground rods spaced at 10' intervals.

This electric fence box is not very good .we have 3 ground rods like it recommends and it still want keep cows in .It doesnt take much to ground it out. All it will put out is 4500 volts on 1/4 mile of fence it sucks in my opinion.

This is the first solar fencer I have purchased and what a SUPER BUY! It's easy to install and works like a champ. It's easy to see if there is a problem with the gauge on the front. If I ever need another, it will be a Parmak that I buy!

I own about a dozen of these, which I have been using for roughly 15 years to charge my electric bear fences, which keep bears out of my honey bee apiaries. The fencers are such a simple, sturdy design that there's very little that can go wrong. If I have a problem, I send the unit to McCrory. Their service and customer support is excellent. I wouldn't use any other fencer to protect my bees.
