We have been using Coppertox to clear up any foot rot on our Nigerian Dwarf goats for about five years now. While our goats have never had a serious problem with hoof rot, the Coppertox has cleared up any issues we have had quickly. We trim out all of the rot, then apply Coppertox and it clears up very well with only one treatment usually. In the last year or so we have made it a habit that every time we trim their hooves we coat the bottom of the hoof with Coppertox. Since we have started this practice we have noticed that this has helped keep them from even getting foot rot in between trimmings most of the time. Living in Washington where it rains a lot foot rot can be a big issue if not kept in check.
Kopertox works great for treating foot rot in sheep and goats. We have used this product for many years for foot rot when we have one with a problem. With a few treatments and hoof trimming this problem is corrected. The only dislike is that it stains everything green.
I have been using thrush treatments for 30 years and have tried MANY different things but overall Kopertox is the best. It does have an annoying color (I suggest wearing disposable gloves!) and it is quite spendy... but overall it works SO much better than the other products out there!
