My only regret is that I didn't buy a tonne more of these wonderful blankets. I paid full price but really can't complain as the hardware, straps and over-all design would be equivalent to something far more expensive.
Generous length (front to back and sides), smart stretchy heavy duty surcingle straps, HD leg straps and great shoulder gusset - this was designed by a horse person - YEAH!
As other reviewers have said, the sizes run VERY large. I ordered a 66 for my pony that normally takes a 69/70 and it fits.
I have 3 Pony Poppins blankets and I love them all. Great fit for my young rescue horses. I bought the bubbles pattern for a shetland cross and for my mini. I sent the on for my mini back because the drop was way too long and the surcingles were too long. The one for the shetland cross i tied a knot in the surcingles and it works fine.
My suggestion would be to make the drop and surcingles to match the length. Like a 48in is probably a very close to the ground horse so shorten the drop and surcingles.
I love my Jeffers blankets and hated to have to go to a different brand for my mini.
