Blocker Tie Ring II

The Blocker Tie ring has changed the way people tie their horses, providing a safe, humane way to tie your horse. Designed to be a support system rather than a restraint, it allows a horse to pull slack in the lead rope when he panics or falls. Releasing pressure at the source of pain or panic, dramatically reduces the threat of injury to you and your horse. Added feature, the Mag-Loc, holds the tongue in place, makingthe tie ring more stable so it can be mounted at any height.

Great for teaching a horse to tie!

These are great for teaching a young horse to tie, because if the pull back they can't break anything. If a horse pulls back, this ring will let go so your horse wont hurt himself or stress himself out.I use this on all of my horses I want to teach to tie and I have never had a problem with it.

Too expensive
Reviewed By:  Carol (Knightdale, NC)
While I am all for what I call "soft-tie" methods, for the simplicity of the Blocker Tie Ring II and compared to alternatives having the same effect, the pricing on this item is way too expensive. The eyebolt also is the weakest link in the tie system, which could pull out of wood in older barns. The Mag[net]-Loc feature that keeps the pin from sliding side-to-side could as easily be handled with a slot, with less cost. What I have used for years is a quick release snap. It is the right size to close around most leadropes that allows it to slide through with pressure. I also put a knot in the end of the rope. The quick release feature of the snap makes it even better. And these are under $10, or perhaps under $5.
