The action of this bridle differs fundamentally from all other bridles (hackamores, bosals and sidepulls). By means of a simple, but subtle system of two loops, one over the poll and one over the nose, the bridle embraces the whole of the head.
Unlike the bit method of control, the BITLESS BRIDLE does not injure or frighten the horse. It will not interfere with the horse's ability to breathe and stride freely, as the bit does.
Ever since I've owned my mare I have had problems with her moving out too fast, not wanting to stay stopped, fidgeting with bit, pulling her tongue back and putting her head close to the ground after I bridled her. It took about 30 minutes in the bitless bridle to be sure, but the change was drastic. She began to yield to slight twitches of the reins, instead of long pulls. She stopped within 1 stride and stood without trying to take off again. Figure eights were smooth and responsive and for the first time she had one ear back and one forward....she was listening to me. I can't say enough about this bridle and I will not ride her again without one.
