This stuff is great! My 17 year old gelding was a little scruffy and had a couple of bad cracks in his hooves when I got him. A few weeks after starting him on this, he had dapples in his coat, shined like glass and his hooves are growing twice as fast! The cracks are almost gone and my farrier has to come out every 4-5 weeks instead of every 8 weeks. I also noticed his hocks no longer pop and crack and he's lost his early morning stiffness! Love this stuff!
I used this product on a new mare, who came to me with a dandruff-like skin problem, rain rot, and poorly cared for hooves. In 6 weeks her skin problems were gone and she was getting rave comments about her gorgeous, shiny coat! After 3 months, I discontinued it for 2 months. Put her back on it, and my natural hoof care gal could not believe how much her hooves had grown in just 6 wks - in the winter! She is really looking good, and I am sure this product has helped tremendously.
I started giving this to my Akitas (with my vets approval) several years ago because my oldest at the time was dealing with aging joint problems. Ever since, all of my Akitas get a daily dose as a general preventative & overall supplement for their overall health. I have no doubt that this has helped my two w/ hip dysplasia & one w/ stenosis stay on their feet an extra year for sure. Since it's for horses, make sure to talk to your vet about its use w/ your dog & the dose for your dog.
