The EasyBoot Epic is ideal for the barefoot horse, aggressive conditions or for a horse who is difficult to keep booted. The attached EasyBoot Gaiter provides extra protection to the hoof as well as keeps excess dirt and debris from getting in the boot. It also keeps the boot on during extreme conditions such as mud, snow, and water crossing. Fitted with the low profile Comfort Strap. The Epic was also fitted with the new cast buckle system. A great boot for a variety of situations including endurance, multi-day excursions, light trail, and pressure riding.
Sizes: 000, 00, 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4.
Sold separately.
For best results, measure freshly trimmed hoof at widest point. Front hooves tend to be more round and wider than hind hooves. The best fit may require a smaller size for hind.
I bought the Epic about a year ago.First boots i have ever tried.I have ridden some rough terrain, creeks and up / down some steep trails. The only problem i have ran into is the front buckle will flip up if you hit a rock just right. This will allow the boot to come loose. I have not lost one because the velcro was attached but i plan to buy some without the front buckle next time.
Great Customer Service. I have been using Easyboots for as long as I can remember. Stated all my horses in them. Only put on shoes when I do 3 or more 20+ mile rides a week. Only then for convenience. I have used them for keeping the bandage on when my horse has an abscess.
The 4 star rating is because they will fall off eventually if you are riding Real Aggressive etc. In a normal world they tend to stay on just fine when installed properly. The Epics are wonderful because they have elemented most of my issues I had. Hoping to Purchase The Back Country Trail next fall.
We bought the glove boot first and they stretched out so we went to the epic, bad choice on our part. The very first ride (25 miles) the cables stretched and then the bracket broke now one cable is completely broken. At least they have a 30 day money back guarantee but what a pain. We are going to try the covello simple boot...
