My dog will get into garbage and other things when I'm gone unless I give her this chew toy. She will carry it around while I'm gone and not get into anything. When I come home she has fun chewing off the rawhide. She uses a small bone and the medium size rings. Caution: some replacement rings are made of cornstarch. My dog gets sick if she eats corn so I have to be very careful when purchasing the replacement rings.
My 35 pound beagle-mix demolished both rawhide disks in about 40 minutes, but keeps on chewing on it since bits of softened rawhide are stuck between the bristles and rubber nubs. My dogs love this and it has held up! I have found this version (have both this and the bouncy bone) makes the gnawhides harder to get to, so it works great for my heavy chewer.
