LOVE this collar! I've got a big 200 lb. wether goat who has been wearing these for about five years now. He's hard on collars, so we've gone through a few of them, but they last a lot longer than the nylon ones we used to buy and are comparably priced.
I switched to these from nylon collars not only for the looks, but also because nylon was wearing the hair off his neck. The leather is gentle on his fur and it also allows a "breakaway" if he gets hung up (which happened once and the collar did break as I hoped). Another collar lost a few studs and the rivets that hold the buckle started coming out after years of hard use, but at this price, I can't complain one bit!
The only thing I wish is that they came in larger sizes. 23" is barely big enough, especially in winter.
I purchased this collar 5 years ago for my Pitbull and this collar just gets better with age. comfortable and secure for both my dog and myself. So many other collars wear out and break. I need to know that my girl is safe this collar does the trick. Still as strong as when I purchased it. Ordering another one today for my other pittie.
I ordered this collar for my pitbull 5 years ago, sadly she passed away, but it was handed down to my next pitbull and it just keeps getting better each year. So much so I am ordering one for my second pitbull today.
